Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 October 2026

1. The service

Monkeep provides financial organization, synchronization, reconciliation and related productivity features for individuals and small businesses. Some functionality is still in beta and may change as the product develops.

Monkeep is operated by Eli Kabilo, Spain. Contact: info@monkeep.net.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your Monkeep account credentials secure and for providing accurate information when using the service. Do not share access in a way that bypasses workspace permissions or use the service for unlawful activity.

3. Connected banks and accounting providers

When you connect a bank, QuickBooks or another supported provider, you authorize Monkeep to access the information needed for the features you request, subject to that provider's own terms and authorization flow. By default, Monkeep's QuickBooks integration is read-only: it synchronizes accounting information for analysis and reconciliation and does not send payments or modify QuickBooks records. If, and only if, you separately allow it for your workspace, Monkeep can also create new bills and vendors in QuickBooks, only for supplier invoices that a person in your workspace has approved, with the invoice file attached. QuickBooks has no draft bills, so a bill created this way is posted to your books as soon as it is created, unpaid. Monkeep never pays, edits, voids or deletes a QuickBooks record, and you can turn this off at any time.

Third-party providers may change, suspend or revoke access independently of Monkeep. You can disconnect supported integrations from Monkeep, but records retained by the third-party provider remain subject to that provider's own terms.

4. Ask Monkeep and automated output

Ask Monkeep and other automated features can summarize or classify financial information, but automated output can be incomplete or inaccurate. It is not legal, tax, accounting or investment advice. Verify important financial, accounting and tax decisions against the source records and, where appropriate, with a qualified professional.

5. Your data and permissions

You retain responsibility for the data and documents you provide or connect. You give Monkeep permission to process that information only as needed to operate the features you choose, protect the service, and meet applicable legal obligations. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Availability and beta features

Monkeep may add, change or remove beta features and cannot promise that every third-party connection will always be available. We aim to keep the service reliable and secure, but temporary outages, provider limitations and data delays can occur.

7. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to access another user's data, interfere with the service, defeat security controls, misuse connected-provider credentials, scrape the service in a way that harms availability, or use Monkeep in violation of applicable law or third-party provider terms.

8. Ending use

You may stop using Monkeep and disconnect supported providers. Monkeep may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, providers or the service, or to address misuse or legal requirements.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date on this page. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@monkeep.net.
